What are Stem Cells?

What are the other forms of Stem Cells in the body?
Embryonic tissue: Most embryonic stem cells (human embryonic stem cells or hESCs) are derived from discarded embryos which are donated by fertility clinics performing in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
Bone marrow: Adult Stem Cells can be extracted from bone marrow by aspiration, typically from the hip or the sternum. This process may be painful, though much research has been done to reduce any pain incurred by patients during extraction.
Adipose tissue: Adipose-derived stem cells come from a patient’s fatty tissues, which are surgically extracted via liposuction under general anesthesia.

Are there any side effects to this form of Regenerative Therapy?
As with any other medical procedure that requires injection, there is a small risk that you may experience an adverse effect. Most side effects reported have been similar to those reported after an injection such as local redness, minor swelling, injection site infection, minor bruising, allergic reaction or some minor discomfort. These possible side effects are usually minor, transient and are self limiting. There have been no adverse reactions reported after using Liveon Labs’ cell therapy products. There is generally NO down time after these treatments, however, Dr. Poormehr may suggest some precautions for the first 2-3 weeks after which you may return gradually to your full daily and exercise activities.
